Police investigating cause of accident

Police are still investigating an accident that left a Centerton man dead.
Austin P. Daniel, 21, was found Monday morning by employees of the Springdale wastewater treatment plant.
Daniel was traveling south on Silent Grove Road, left the road and struck a concrete barrier on the west side of the bridge over Spring Creek, according to the Arkansas State Police. Daniel’s 1994 Ford F-150 became airborne and traveled approximately 47 feet before landing 12 feet below the bridge, police said.
The truck overturned on impact and Daniel was thrown out and pinned by the cab of the truck, police said. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident and what time it occurred.
The accident happened just south of the intersection of Silent Grove and Pump Station roads. Daniel was pronounced dead at the scene by the Benton County coroner’s office.
