4-way stop installed today

BENTONVILLE — Another four-way stop will be installed today to alleviate traffic woes during the most intense phase of the Downtown Square Renovation project.
At approximately 6: 30 a. m. today, the intersection of Main and South Second streets, currently a two-way-stop intersection, will temporarily be made a four-way-stop intersection because of the current closure of the intersection of West Central Avenue and A Street for the renovation project.
Temporary stop signs will be placed at the north and southbound lanes of Main Street.
The intersection will remain signed in this manner until the current phase of the Square project is completed and opened to traffic.
The project is estimated to last approximately 34 more days, according to Ron F. Mobley of Mobley Contractors.
