WEDDINGS: Staton-Staley wedding

Sara Marie Staley

Sara Marie Staton and Taylor Anthony Staley, both of Springdale, were married at 7 p. m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith by Monsignor Royce Thomas.

The bride is the daughter of Terese and Dr. Richard Staton of Fort Smith.

The groom is the son of Toni Gail Staley of Little Rock and the late Robert Staley.

The bride was escorted by her father, Dr. Richard Staton. She wore an off-white silk satin gown with an off-the-shoulder portrait neckline enhanced with a scallop of petals embellished with hand beading; and a form-fitting bodice embellished with rhinestone teardrops and Austrian crystals and hand-beaded English net. The gown featured a dropped princess waist and an A-line skirt hand embellished with a cascading floral motif of English net. The back of the gown featured a double inverted box pleat and a semi-cathedral train.

She carried a bouquet of white roses and calla lilies.

Annie Staton of Fort Smith served as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Gist of Fort Smith, Suzanne Lambert and Claire Newman, both of Little Rock, Lindsey Humphries of Fayetteville, and Julie Rusch and Jennifer Gartman, both of Rogers.

The attendants wore black taffeta dresses, featuring portrait V-necks, criss-cross pleated bodices, drop waists and A-line skirts.

Justin Staley of Little Rock served as best man.

Groomsmen were Brent Jennings, Ryan James, Jeff Gallegos, Drew Dennison, Ryan Penn and Josh Austin, all of Fayetteville.

Ushers were Chris Klemp and Brian, both of Fayetteville, and Jake Skinner of Little Rock.

Samuel Staley served as ring bearer.

The reader was Cara Blumfelder.

Music was provided by organist Greg Zyjewski, flutist Vikki Swicegood and harpist Rebecca Swicegood.

Melissa Dougherty and Ramy Zimmerebner attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Hardscrabble Country Club.

The bride holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas. She is employed as branch manager for Staffmark in Bentonville and Rogers.

The groom is studying criminal justice and sociology at the University of Arkansas.
