Anderson, Mo.

Cynthia Jean Hogan Roan, 50, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at her home in Anderson, Mo. She was born May 26, 1958, in Neosho, Mo., to Ronald R. and Peal G. Spencer Hogan. She was raised in Anderson and was a 1976 graduate of McDonald County High School. She attended Crowder College and the Neosho (Mo. ) Beauty College. She was employed by the Wal-Mart home office for eight years, working in the payroll department. She was a member of the Immanuel Assembly of God Church in Noel, Mo. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and shopping. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Roan; a daughter, Christeny Daniels of Manhattan, Kan.; her parents, Ron Hogan and Pearl Hogan of Carterville, Mo.; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard Hogan and Diane Hogan of Harlingen, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Joni Powers and Steven Powers of Webb City, Mo.; a niece, Nicole Kowal of Bartlesville, Okla.; a nephew, Jared Hogan of Neosho, Mo.; and a grand niece, Madison Marie Kowal. A memorial service will be 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. Monday, Nov. 17, in the Anderson, Mo., Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Funeral Services will be 2 p. m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Immanuel Assembly of God Church in Noel, Mo., with Pastor Gary Duke. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Mo. Pallbearers are Lou Shomoski, Steve Powers, Jared Hogan, Stewart Pace, Eddie Edens and Scott Woodworth.

Goodman, Mo.

Lyle Wayne Fisher, 70, of Goodman, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at his home. He was born on Jan. 27, 1938, in Angola, Ind., to the late Marion L. and Opal Farris Fisher. He moved with his family to the Neosho and Seneca, Mo. area when he was 10. He married Ellanor R. Watson on July 5, 1958. He worked in the oil fields of Oklahoma and Texas. He was also an interior and exterior painter and a auto mechanic. His most recent employment was with J & M Auto Salvage in Goodman, Mo. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring old cars.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ellanor Fisher; two sons, Lonnie Fisher of Fairview, Mo., and Lloyd Fisher of Goodman, Mo.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Snow of Branson, Mo.

Visitation will be 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. Monday, Nov. 17, in the Goodman Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.

Gravette

Bessie L Larson, 87, of Gravette, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. She was born April 20, 1921, in Hackett, Ark., to Luther and Lena Tolbert Harrison. She was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Delaware and Benton counties. She was a member of Lowery Free Will Baptist Church in Twin Oaks, Okla. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Forrest James; her second husband, Wayne Larson; and two sons, Leon James and Luther James. Survivors include a daughter, Tresa Mae Madden of Gravette; a stepdaughter, Lois Jeffries of Jefferson City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kelly Madden of Tulsa, Okla., Darryl James of California, Jim James of Van Buren, Ark., and Lisa Brooks of Gravette; nine great grandchildren and a greatgreatgrandchild. Nelsa Lee Ehret Nelsa Lee Ehret, 71, of Lanagan, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at her home following a long illness. She was born Sept. 2, 1937, to Homer Norris and Mildred Green Norris.

She moved to Lanagan seven years ago coming from Arkansas. She was a salesperson, telephone operator, and a liaison for Wal-Mart home office in Bentonville, Ark. She enjoyed reading and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack LeRoy Ehret; a son, Eric F. “ Ricky” Ehret; a brother, Homer B. Norris, Jr., and a grandson, Joel Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Francine Reid of Dumont, Colo.; Theresa Lasiter of Noel, Mo.; a sister, Neva Ruth Gwarek of Charlotte, N. C.; a grandson, Jacob Smith of Havana, Ark.; and her caregiver, Stella Thurman of Noel, Mo. Memorial services will be 1 p. m. until 3 p. m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Walker-Dowd Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Kidney Foundation. Rogers

Donald Lee Smith, 64, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 14, at his home. He was born Nov. 16, 1943, in Bear Creek, Ala., to Oscar Verlen and Martha E. Kelly Smith.

He lived in the Rogers area since 1969, moving from South Florida. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He married Diana M. Dunn on Nov. 22, 1965. He enjoyed fixing old cars and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Diana; a son, Randsome Smith of Avoca, Ark.; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Julie Smith-Bond of Rogers, Martha McKinny and David McKinny of Springfield, Mo., Amy Smith and Antonio Smith of Rogers, and April Smith of Rogers; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie M. Smith and Linda Smith and James I. Smith and Maryann Smith all of Avoca; two sisters, Marvine Cooley of Clinton and Arlene Junior of Avoca; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 p. m. to 4 p. m., Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 1 p. m. Monday, Nov. 17, in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Tucks Chapel Cemetery in Rogers.

Gravette

Lonnie Lee Losee, Sr., left his loved ones, friends, and his dogs (his babies ) on Thursday, November 13, 2008, to meet his Lord. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on November 4, 1939. He was in the Navy for two years and served as a police officer in Des Moines and Tempe, Arizona. Survivors include his wife, Diana, of the home; son, Lonnie Losee, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona; stepdaughter, Darla Monreal and husband David of Phoenix, Arizona; stepsons, Shawn Payne of the home, Donald Payne, II, and wife Shannon of Gravette; sister-in-law Donnalu Smith of Gravette; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren (with one on the way ), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Norma Losee; a sister, Joan Smith; and an infant brother.

After he and Diana raised their separate families in Phoenix, Arizona, each divorced their partners and were married on October 14, 1985, in Las Vegas. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Des Moines where they lived until Lonnie’s retirement in 2001, after which they moved to the Gravette area.

Lonnie’s biggest enjoyment in life was fishing and hunting. In his later years, his enjoyment were his three dogs, Simba, Sweetie, and Chubs.

Memorial services will be held from 5: 00 to 7: 00 p. m. on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the Gravette Christian Church officiated by Rev. Mike Gibson.
