Jacksonville, Fla.

Charles John Kolesnicky, 87, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Noel, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at the Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville following an illness. He was born Dec. 18, 1920, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Joseph Kolesnicky and Mary Lechner Kolesnicky. He met Eleanor May Montieth at a USO dance at Camp Crowder in Neosho, Mo., and they were married Feb. 6, 1954, in Miami, Okla. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He lived in Noel for three years after moving from Cleveland and he moved to Jacksonville in April 2008 to be closer to his daughter. He was a member of the VFW and the Cleveland Personnel Men’s Association. He was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Noel where he sang in the church choir for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor Kolesnicky; and two brothers. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth Letscher and John Letscher of Jacksonville; a brother, George C. Kolesnicky of Cleveland; a grandson, William Letscher of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 p. m. to 6 p. m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Walker-Dowd Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Mo. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a. m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the Church of the Nativity in Noel with Father J. Friedel. Pea Ridge

James Simpson, 77, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Ark. He was born Jan. 4, 1931, in Bakersfield, Calif., to William H. Simpson and Irene Ruby Gause Simpson. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard for four years and was a truck driver for 44 years. He moved to northwest Arkansas 14 years ago. He attended New Life Church in Pea Ridge. He his grandchildren play basketball, watching football, and reading his Bible.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Simpson; and two brothers, William Simpson and Lee Simpson.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bill Simpson and Sam Simpson and Sidney Collins and Jodie Collins, all of Pea Ridge, and David Collins of Stonewall, Okla.; a daughter and sonin-law, Debra Moore and Gary Moore of Bakersfield; 11 grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a. m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, with Pastor Richard Burress.

Burial will be at the Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Bella Vista

Donald Terry Fry, 74, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Ovilla, Texas, died November 17, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Don’s open faith, dependable leadership and indomitable sense of humor inspired and comforted ever yone who knew him and were familiar with his challenges. Though he will be sorely missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts and minds he touched.

Don was born on August 18, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, to Audia and William Emmons Fry Sr. Don served ten years in the Texas National Guard with ranks of Master First Sergeant, Motor Sergeant and Tank Commander. He retired as an executive with Mobil Oil Corporation after 37 years of service, all in Dallas, Texas.

His interests revolved around caring for his family and raising registered Texas Longhorn cattle. He was instrumental in building a baseball park in Ovilla where he formed and coached Little League teams for eight years. He was City Parks Commissioner and President of the Midlothian High School Quarterback Club. He served as a deacon in both the Ovilla and Bella Vista Churches of Christ.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ellen Fry; son, Kelly Don Fry and his wife, Monica, of Kingwood, Texas; son, Steven Keith Fry and his wife, Denise, of Watertown, Tennessee; brother, William E. Fry Jr. and his wife, Blanche, of San Antonio Texas; grandchildren, Lance Christopher, Colton Parker and Madison Paige Fry; niece, Chris Grodin; nephews, Bill and Lindsay Fry; several great-nephews; and a great niece.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a. m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at the Bella Vista Church of Christ, 8889 West McNelly Road, Bentonville, Arkansas, with Randall Caselman officiating. Burial will follow at the Bella Vista Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
