Don Sheffer, 73, of Bella Vista, Ark.. died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008. He was married to Pat Sheffer for 39 years. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott Smerdon and Beth Smerdon of Pacifica, Calif., and Steve Sheffer and Jennifer Smerdon of St. Louis, Mo., two brothers and sisters-in-law Gary Horner and Judy Horner and Jim Horner and Arlene Horner of Arizona; four grandchildren Ellie Smerdon, Andrew Sheffer, Daniel Sheffer and Erin Sheffer; and his sister-in-law, Margaret Gfeller of Missouri. A Wake was held at the family home. Inurnment will be at the Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas. Alfred G. Henjum, 80, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008. He worked in advertising and was a noted photographer. He enjoyed art, music, and nature. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Henjum; a brother, Irvin Henjum; and a sister, Blanche. Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine and Mindy; a brother and sisterin-law; and many nieces, nephews. Visitation will be from 1 p. m. to 2 p. m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at United Church of Christ in New Brighton, Minn. A memorial service will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at United Church of Christ in New Brighton. Cremation arrangements are by Cremation Society of Minnesota Edina Chapel.
