SILOAM SPRINGS — The Village Players can’t get enough of “ Rumors. ”

The local theater group staged its own version of the Neil Simon comedy in April, and now some of its members have teamed up with Sager Creek Arts Center in Siloam Springs to bring the play to life once again.

“ Rumors ” has become a stock production by community theaters and schools nationwide since it was first produced in 1988. Described as “ light, frothy and fun ” and “ side-splitting “ for audiences, the Sager Creek Arts Center cast has found it equally hilarious.

Cast members include Gary Davidson, John Honey, Paul Killman, Jan Lauderdale, Jessa Parette and Don Warden of Siloam Springs, as well as Earl Allen, Jennifer Leaton, Pam Marks and Debbie Reynolds of Bella Vista.

“ The actors of Sager Creek Arts Center and the Village Players have collaborated to put on a wonderful production. The cast and crew have made it most rewarding to take part in this show. I have enjoyed directing this talented group of people, ” veteran director Bill Hodge said.

The play, which is the first in the arts center’s season lineup for 2008-09, will be performed Nov. 21 and 22. Cost is $ 12 for adults, $ 10 for senior citizens and SCAC members, and $ 8 for students.

Reservations are recommended. Call Sager Creek Arts Center at (479 ) 524-4000.

This production is supported by underwriting from Arvest Bank and is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.
