The X-treme Tech Squad 4-H Club is ready to enter a new year with a new slate of officers.

Members elected the following officers on Oct. 27: Ian Dexter, president; Carson Alsup, vice president; Adriana Joyce, secretary; Anna Hope, photographer and reporter; Lauren Dexter, photographer; and Aaron Joyce, community service.

Aaron Joyce and Adriana Joyce made promotional DVDs for National 4-H Month, which is celebrated in November.

After spending 12 hours editing, their videos are 1 minute, 45 seconds long and will be aired 10 times each through Fayetteville Community Access TV.

In other activities, the club sponsored a countywide photography contest, with the winning entries featured in a full-color 2009 calendar. The calendars are being sold for $ 12 each as a fundraiser for the club.

Members also made some suggestions for events for the coming year, including working at another electronics recycling day, a software training class and a trip to the Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology robotics competition in Fort Smith.

Those interested in purchasing a calendar or learning more about the 4-H X-treme Tech Squad may contact the Benton County Extension Office at 271-1060.
