Green Forest Students Receive Grants For School

Congressman John Boozman recently notified students at Green Forest School they were awarded a $ 10, 000 grant from the EPA for their efforts to encourage youth to walk to school to save fuel, to get exercise and fresh air.
The students also received another $ 10, 000 grant from Mattel Toys to provide prizes, etc. for youngsters who participate in a monthly competition to see which student can walk the most miles each month through the school year. Both grants are administered by the Carroll County Resource Council.
