Gravette

Bessie L. Larson, 87, of Gravette, died November 14, 2008, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. She was born April 20, 1921, in Hackett, AR, the daughter of Luther and Lena Tolbert Harrison. Mrs. Larson was a homemaker and longtime resident of Delaware and Benton Counties. She was a member of Lowery Free Will Baptist Church in Twin Oaks, CA. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Forrest James; her second husband, Wayne Larson; and two sons, Leon and Luther James. Survivors include one daughter, Tresa Madden of Gravette; one stepdaughter, Lois Jeffries of Jefferson City, MO; and four grandchildren, Kelly Madden of Tulsa, Darryl James of California, Jim James ofVan Buren and Lisa Brooks of Gravette; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were Tuesday, November 18, at Elm Cemetery in Leach, OK, with Leonard Brooks officiating. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. Barbara Dorman Barbara Bush Dorman, 70, of North Little Rock died October 11, 2008. She was born August 25, 1938, in Bonifay, FL, the daughter of Rufus and Hazel Womble Bush. Mrs. Dorman was a former resident of Bella Vista where her husband, Wendell, was a Methodist pastor. She taught school in Gravette District several years. Survivors include her husband; one son, Wendell Dorman, Jr., of North Little Rock; one daughter, Margaret Dorman of Houston; and one sister. Funeral services were held October 14 in Jacksonville, AR, with burial in Rest Hills Cemetery in North Little Rock. Clifford Crose, 77, of Gravette, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette. He was born June 15, 1931, in Little River, AR, the son of Paul Orval and Thelma H. Lawson Crose. Mr. Crose was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and was known as “ Stickman” for the many decorative canes he created. He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin sister, Christine Dishroom. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rose Crose of the home; four sons, Will Crose and wife Debra, Paul Crose and wife Barbara, Dean Crose and wife Angela and Chris Crose and wife Tina, all of Gravette; two daughters, Teresa Reynolds and husband Wayne and Tami Boone and husband Brian, all of Gravette; one sister, Pauline Moring of Rogers; 11 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. A drop-in memorial service was held from 3 p. m. to 5 p. m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Gravette. Memorial contributions can be made to the Gravette Boys and Girls Club, 401 Charlotte S. E. in Gravette.
