GAELIC FOOTBALL The Northwest Arkansas Rovers Gaelic football team seeks new players in preparation for the 2009 season. Gaelic football is a fast-paced sport from Ireland that vaguely resembles a cross between soccer, rugby and basketball. The Rovers compete in the North American County Board against clubs such as Little Rock, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Training is coed and suitable for a wide range of ages. Some games will be played co-ed as well. There is no cost to play and no travel requirements though participation with the travel team would be appreciated. Practices are held on Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. at Walker Park in Fayetteville. Henderson resigns as UA head soccer coach

Gordon Henderson has resigned his position as head coach of the University of Arkansas Razorback soccer team it was announced by UA athletics director Jeff Long on Thursday. Henderson recently completed his fifth season at Arkansas. The Razorbacks compiled a 41-49-5 record in his five seasons. Arkansas finished 11-8 this season, including a schoolrecord 9-1 start. The Razorbacks finished 4-7 in Southeastern Conference play, but failed to qualify for the SEC Tournament.
