AAU BASKETBALL • A local AAU basketball squad is holding a tryout on Aug. 23 for boys that will be in grades 9-10 for the 2008-09 school year. FHS DANCE CLINIC • The Fayetteville High School Dance Team will be hosting a Lil' Dawg Dance Clinic on Saturday, Aug. 30, for girls in grades K-5 in the FHS Bulldog Gym from 9-11: 30 a.m. Participants will perform prior to the first home FHS football game on Sept. 5. PAGNOZZI CHARITIES • The 17 th Annual Tom Pagnozzi Charity Golf Tournament, Banquet and Sports Memorabilia Auction will be held Oct. 16-18. The event will kick off Oct. 16 with a four-person scramble golf tournament at Fayetteville Country Club. Morning and afternoon flights will take place on Oct. 17. Golf teams are available and are $ 800 per team, or $ 200 for an individual. On Oct. 18, the banquet and sports memorabilia auction will be held at the Fayetteville Town Center at 6 p.m. Former Arkansas track and field athlete Mike Conley Sr. will be the guest speaker. Tickets are $ 35 and tables are $ 500 and $ 1, 000. All proceeds raised will benefit the Pagnozzi Youth Sports Scholarship Fund. NWA 11 U BASEBALL • An 11-and-under Northwest Arkansas USSSA Competitive Baseball Team is seeking baseball players for the 2009 season. FHS FAST-PITCH LEAGUE • The FHS Lady Dawg Fastpitch Booster Club will hold a fall fast-pitch softball league from Sept. 15 to Oct. 23. Individual sign-ups will be accepted through Aug. 15.
