AVOCA CHRISTMAS PARADE SET

The Avoca Country Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 6.
Participants are to meet at Latham Cabinets, 819 Lester Lane in Avoca, 30 minutes before dark (approximately 5 p. m. )
Participants will line up and be judged prior to the parade. Award categories include most unique, biggest float, most lights, most Christmas spirit and best overall.
There are no applications or fees.
Parade organizers welcome floats, bands, horses, wagons, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars post honor guards, vehicles, clubs, fire trucks, etc.; however, the role of Santa is reserved for the founder of the parade.
The parade is one mile and ends at Avoca Town Hall, 222 N. Old Wire Road. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided.
