Fundraiser
A Cross Country fundraiser Soup Supper will be held Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Elkins High School Cafeteria from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. The menu includes soup, cornbread, and dessert for $ 5. Come support the State Champion Cross Country Team and help raise the money for their State Championship rings.
Supper
A chili supper will be held at the Elkins Community Center on Friday, Nov. 21, from 5-6: 30 p. m. before the dance. Proceeds will go to the Elkins High School band. Enjoy heaping bowls of chili, generous portions of conrbread, drink and dessert all for $ 5.
Dinner
Elkins Fire Department and Fire Belles Annual Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Elkins High School Cafeteria. Entertainment starts at 5: 30 p. m. and dinner at 6 p. m. Everyone is invited. Come enjoy turkey and dressing with all the fixings.
Bazaar
An annual Christmas Bazaar will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 8-4 p. m. with arts, craft collectibles and antiques. Chili, soup, cornbread, drinks and desserts will be available. Booth rental will be $ 15 each. Call 479-442-0026 or 479-643-2313 for more information or to rent a booth. Come join in the fun. All proceeds go to Elkins Community Center Building fund.
Bake sale
Elkins Senior Center will have baked goods for sale at the Senior Center throughout November and December. There will be pies, cakes and candies, such as peanut brittle. You can call to order ahead if you desire by calling Angela at 643-2741.
West Fork
Concerts
West Fork schools will hold a third and fourth grade concert performance Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 6: 30 p. m. at the Activity Center. On Thursday, Dec. 4, Tiger Notes Choir will hold a Christmas concert on the Fayetteville Square at 6: 30 p. m. The public is welcome to attend.
Durham
Lunch
Whistle Stop Seniors will be serving Thanksgiving lunch from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. as a way of saying thank you for all the support this year on Nov. 21 at Durham Community Center. The menu is baked ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls and a vareity of desserts.
Brashears
Dinner
The Forsythe family Terry, Roxanne, Megan and Austin, invite friends, family and those who do, not have a place to go on this special day to a fourth annual Thanksgiving dinner. The dinner will be held at Fort Rocks Family Camp on Highway 23 south of Brashears. As you turn south off of Highway 16 it is the fifth driveway on the right. Look for signs. The Forsythes host this dinner at no cost as a service to the community. They will be assisted by the White River Baptist Church. Contact number 479-677-3136.
